Yingting is a digital artist based in Wellington, New Zealand. Her artworks are mainly about characters she creates or fanarts coming from various sources, the style tho is always in the manga and comic book range. Super cool drawings one after the other.
I love how creative she seems to be in her portraits, always finding the way to make them interesting. Most of the times it’s a fifty fifty split between the character itself and the environment around him/her that’s doing the trick. Something to not undervalue is the clean coloring and her awesome skills with light, both enhancing the experience to new levels.
“Predator”, the first image… I can’t say how much I love those eyes and the girl drawing in general. It’s a beautiful illustration. Yingting likes crows a lot especially after watching many references and the result is spectacular cause I think the one she drew here is really on point. All the animals I’ve seen her draw actually look fantastic, it’s a gorgeous quality.
The fanart of Aki (Chainsawman) is stunning! She shared it as a “lighting practice” piece to which I must add it’s a -perfect- lighting practice piece.. The face is obviously amazing but I think the work on the shoulder and the hand were crucial to make it look so good. Extra points for the subject, I like Chainsawman and my passion for manga came back strong lately so I’m excited to see this artwork!
