Wyndham Batton (@wynbat_art) is my pick for today’s talent!

Wyndham is a visual development artist from the United States with a background in 3D as well as 2D art and animation. He focuses on character design and concept design using joyful and bright color palettes, sometimes including a good old fan art but most of the times coming up with something fresh and original.
One thing that’s for sure just by looking at his works on IG is that he has absolutely no fear to push his limits and try different painting styles, changing technique or jumping from one kind of scene to the opposite painting after painting.
The Americano was a restaurant Wyndham enjoyed, it’s now closed but this didn’t stop him from putting up a great illustration of the place. It looks cool and this artwork seems like the perfect piece to keep a good memory of it. What’s interesting here are the lights and shadows, the work totally changes the view and makes it so natural and realistic. I absolutely love the bottom left corner, it’s fantastic.
The second pic is part of the #movieweek2021 challenge he joined in which the artist had to draw something following a list of prompts, in this case it was sci-fi / fantasy day. What’s better than the one which started them all? (well not really, but it’s a pretty big milestone you get the point) I think drawing in his style such a crucial scene has the benefit of letting him play with the characters a bit and still maintain a perfectly recognizable environment. Great choice and a very good execution!
