Victor Rodriguez (@vizvic) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
Victor is an illustrator based in Spain, he mainly works digitally trying to experiment with techniques and digital medias often recreating lines and colors that are associated with traditional mediums such as pencil drawings.
One thing I don’t see that often and always brings a smile from me is that in his profile he uses the IG grid display of 3 posts per row to its maximum extent creating art that works best when aligned, so he posts in the correct order a composition that you’re supposed to look at from the distance, combining the images. This also requires control over the publications cause you don’t want to mess up the grid and make things look awkward changing row at the wrong moment.
The first image of the hands is very nice and full of creativity, he worked very well with the colors. The most beautiful thing is certainly the pair of birds “getting free” from the scene constraints and being able to fly over the edge of the hand. This artwork hides some magical good vibes and a sense of tranquillity which is ultimately the real reason making me love it.
The second pic is soooo wonderful, the lady is just amazing and those flowers taking the scene are fantastic, the coloring was masterful here. The tones are so calming it’s one of those moments I think the absence of a bright spot was well thought and perfectly executed, cause the whole piece has harmony this way. Beautiful!
What do you think about Victor? Do you also love what’s going on here?
