Tyler Edlin (@tyler_edlin_art) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
Tyler is an art and design instructor, on his IG you’ll get a chance to see many of his works and lots of process images and videos. The subjects are the most various and it’s exactly what you’d expect from your art mentor (check out the brushsauceacademy website, link below!), he’s constantly reaching top level results in very different paintings ranging from character designs to landscapes, environments, sci-fi scenes and more.
Tyler is also clearly not afraid to work on all “planes and worlds” since he posts stuff inspired from the past, artworks coming straight from fantasy worlds, contemporary stuff, some future-like projections and this all including wild nature, human built environments and everything in between. There’s room for 3D scenes aswell so a bit of software diveristy too!
The first pic is an awesome scene some of you might have enjoyed real time cause he shared it with his patrons. It’s a cute slice and it’s pretty well detailed in the house section, I think he worked wonderfully with the light and the mist effect getting this lone house to the perfect “tales worth it” scary and creepy level. For how simple it is I’d also love to point out that I find the water in the foreground to be extremely nice, it might go unnoticed at the first glance.
The second image is soooo cool, he described it as “A market place built on ancient ruins set in a coral grove”. I really hope you’ll take the time to either zoom in here or even better get to his feed quickly where he posted some close ups together with it cause it deserves the effort. So many details worked beautifully, from the people to the wooden stairs, the items on the boxes, the tents, the background… it just never stops! Really fascinating.
What do you think about Tyler? Do you also love what’s going on here?
I’d like to discuss today’s talent with you in the comments below!
