Sukrutha Jagirdhar (@watercolors_by_sukrutha) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
Sukrutha is a watercolor artist based in India, she mostly paints gloomy landscapes often utilizing black or a very dark color in contrast with a brighter one to create a very emotional piece.
One thing I would say is that she only uses a few colors on each of her paintings, the palette is limited but the choice is always accurate.
I love how the building’s reflections are represented on the calm water and the atmosphere she created on both the first two paintings you see here. As you can see the limited palettes are showcased in the pictures.
The mist on the last painting is so cool! Clearly lets you see the various layers of lands creating the sense of depth in the painting.
What do you think about Sukrutha? Do you also love what’s going on here?
I’d like to discuss today’s talent with you in the comments below!
