Raquel from Portugal is a watercolorist travel sketcher, but be ready because that’s just one of many layers. She studied to approach the world of cinema, photography, writing and makeup!
I believe she gets back a lot from all the various studies, ultimately taking the best from each one to make her art even more powerful.
Her main activity right now is being a makeup artist, I think she’s really good at it and I like all of what I’ve seen from her (I included some useful links at the end of this post that will lead you to her IG makeup profile and her personal website, take a look!).
The first picture you see here is a super cool idea, something she does often (I’m jealous right now, I also want to travel a lot! If you scroll through her feed you’ll find plenty of these style of paintings). Basically she paints what she can see from the window of a plane while flying. So nice, that is even going to be a perfect memory for a trip, quite original.
The second image is so crazy! Basically what my eyes are seeing is a real painting on location of a real world situation and what my mind is telling me instead is: that’s a cool fantasy and surreal scene of a movie where whales can fly over the beach. It’s so strange that I can’t stop smiling, I like it a lot!
