Paul Wang (@paulwang_sg) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
Paul is an Art & Design educator and a Traveling UrbanSketcher from Singapore. All his paintings are stacked up with content and I think he masters the use of colors: he can work with few or many, but the result is always stunning!
The main subject of his works are buildings and facades (I mean, he’s an urban sketcher after all) and on top of that on his profile you’ll find an unusual high amount of useful content where he goes over colors, impressions and so on, very helpful and cool to watch!
This very recent Venice view is quite interesting to me not only because it’s a great painting but also because in the picture you get to see the tools he brings with him (note the double water to keep the brushes clean).
The second image you see here is a facade and if you like the style and the subject you’ll find a lot of full demo videos on his IG TV. It’s always nice to get to see the actual making of a painting to grasp the little things that would be difficult to explain otherwise. Highly recommend to take a look at the videos!
What do you think about Paul? Do you also love what’s going on here?
I’d like to discuss today’s talent with you in the comments below!
