Natalia is a traditional artist based in Valencia, Spain. By far her most used technique in the creation of those beautiful portraits you can see on her profile is oil painting. You will find even more don’t ge tme wrong but I think that’s where she gets to express her best and at the same time that’s where her art conveys at its best. There has to be something hidden behind oils cause the style Natalia can produce with them is very appealing and pleasing to look at, the art “tells me more” than usual, colors are alive.. It’s just a beautiful experience, you can’t miss this one!
The first image really shows what I meant to say, this portrait is wonderful and it holds some value in the form of colors and brush strokes. The tones are strong and warm and the clear path she followed to paint this revealed by those brush marks is part of what makes this piece so real. I also love how the background for example can sort of just give you a hint but it’s not detailed, it’s the same kind of focus you’d get on a rainy night outside if you’re looking at your friend.
The second pic is the perfect example of the fact that she’s very good with other mediums too, this red portrait is amazing. I like how the face and the shadows there were made in a soft and detailed faction while on the right side she gave space to a wild representation to contrast it. Her style on painting the hair is also quite nice and one I will take inspiration from. Great artist, fantastic artworks.
