Nana Key (@puffygator) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Nana is a wildlife illustrator from New England, USA. It’s easy to get all my attention if you paint animals, in general, but she does it in such a way that goes beyond my love and passion for them. Every single piece screams “hug me” and explodes cuteness.

Even tho on occasion she does draw all kinds of animals I would say the typical subject of her art is usually a cat or a dog (extended to felines and canines). It’s not hard to spot florals around in the pic to complete the piece and make it even cuter, or happy and lovely pairs of mother – cub. Her profile definitely contributes to my level of good vibes every day I get to see one of her illustrations.

The black cutelord you see in the first pic is a piece she made for halloween in 2019. If you check on her website (link below) there’s even an animated version of it in which the pumpkins are glowing in the dark. The little detail of the tongue being out is gorgeous and really reminds me of my Lapis (he sometimes sleeps with his tongue out!).

This swimming tiger painting is so well executed, starting from the paws blurried underwater to the whiskers appearing over the surface, passing through the little waves created by the movement. She even made calm prints of this one! I’m just in love with her style.

What do you think about Nana? Do you also love what’s going on here?
