Maya is a character designer from the USA and her specialty is drawing pretty girls. Whether it’s your favorite princess, the lady that’s about to become your favorite princess, your most hated evil enemy or the heroine that will save the world her illustration is going to turn any girl into a beautiful woman (or mermaid sometimes, but I feel like that still counts!).
Her fantastic style brought some works for names like Netflix and Disney, I love the diversity and the inclusiveness her profile shows and the merch (links below) looks amazing, so it’s always a pleasure to take a moment to enjoy her art.
The first image is a wonderful illustration that also serves the purpose of raising awarness on the bad state of pollution our oceans are in. If you can do your own part and help keeping the waters clean the mermaid is definitely going to be a lot happier next time around! Masks in particular during this pandemic should not be thrown/left around. Let’s make the lady smile!
“Tropical Vibes” is the title of the second artwork, I love how she used layers to create these light effects and fit in some plants in a wonderful way. The choice of colors for the background and the foreground to contrast and enlighten the whole pic is perfect and the shape of the big leaves is just fantastic. It’s one that makes my top 5 most liked for sure.
