Ketan is a digital artist from the U.K. and he primarily focuses on painting landscapes, tho there’s some characters here and there too and occasionally something different. I really like two things he does: first he often shares multiple sketches and steps behind the artworks wihch is both cool and helpful and second he has a beatiful style in coloring the landscapes, it’s just a tiny bit loose which is perfect to me and makes them all more expressive and “dynamic” if you will.
Ketan makes often use of an unusual ratio which is 2:1 or even a tiny bit more I’d say just by looking at it and it’s so nice, refreshing in the IG world.
The first image brings up the funny ratio I was talking about, it fits quite nicely with broad landscapes where the horizon needs space to unfold all of its details. This one in particular was a 30 minutes sketch and I’m impressed with the results, I guess I should speed up cause when I work digitally thirty minutes fly like it’s nothing, in the meantime he was able to create this beatiful perspective with captivating colors.. very well done!
The second pic (on IG there’s the process video if you like to see those) really shows the loose style that I like so much. If you see the artwork as a whole you barely notice it and I think it’s nice cause it means it lets your imagination free to compose the details on the image even if you don’t realize it. The effect is stunning so it’s awesome!
