Julia Koerner (@dyru.jk) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
Julia is an illustrator and character designer from Mannheim, Germany. Her drawings remind me of all the art you usually get to see in modern tabletop games, videogames, character background stories, animations, card games and so on.. the kind of art that enriches the title and actually brings people around the table with a “waoh”.
A thing I like about Julia’s posts is that more often than not she puts up a speedy process video where you get to see the whole thing in a couple of seconds. Not only you can admire how she made the piece but you can also realize how much work is hidden behind the scenes of a great illustration.
The first image is one I couldn’t go without, I too grew up in the Pokémon era so they always remind me of my childhood and make me smile. In this case I have to say Umbreon is too cute and Mew was one of my favorites! How many Pokémons do you see? It’s easy to miss the Murkrow in the corner!
The second image is there to tell you we could all be lovers of the earth and all its creations, we could care more and do more to preserve and even boost where possible the goodness that’s living between and around us. Take care of the environment and make some “rock solid friendships”!
What do you think about Julia? Do you also love what’s going on here?
I’d like to discuss today’s talent with you in the comments below!
