Illy is an artist from Malaysia and the most important thing you need to know about her is that until you get to take a peek at her IG feed you can’t say you know what colors look like. The brightness all her artworks explode with is so nice, the combinations are unique and very interesting. Some of the times it’s about neon tones but sometimes it’s not even that, maybe they’re just bright and special colors.. what is sure is that the illustrations are always joyful, I can feel the warmth inside. If there is an animal it’s even better cause she makes them super cute!
The first image is such an awesome artwork, the idea of using simple lines and shapes to create this wonderful sky is so good. I actually think the fact she’s holding the sun and the light comes down the clothes with the rays is one of the most beautiful scenes I’ve seen in a while. Like I said this to me is heartwarming.
The second image is so liberating, I feel free watching it and it also triggers my imagination cause I want to give to the three ladies a background, a story to live in. Illy was able to diversify the girls not only with the coloring but with the style of their lines too, all while keeping the whole picture so well connected and harmonious. I really love this one!
