HPR (@hpreflection_art) is my pick for today’s talent!

HPR is an artist based in Florida, United States. She uses various mediums and certainly masters the digital world. Her style is one in which the mysterious and sometimes creepy side of things comes out often. The human and in-human subjects give her the chance to focus on the anatomy of the figure and that part is always very much on point.
When there’s an animal in the drawing (or painting) it gets even better, she gives her best and is always super precise, creating realistic scenes. Sometimes her posts are sharing a sketch or a part of the process and this can lead to very interesting and thoughtful moments.
“The Occultist”, the first digital painting, is a dark scene with intriguing dynamics. I like the light coming down from the hole and the not so random spot it ends up hitting. This place is scary and gives me goosebumps, I fully expect a huge horse-sized spider to come out of nowhere. Aside from that I have to admit the piece is spectacular and the dim tones she used to color it fit perfectly.
The second drawing, The Reflection Comic Cover, is absolutely insane. Please take a moment to zoom in and appreciate not only the look this character gives you but all the lines she used to complete the moths, making them original and so awesome. They’re fantastic. Oh and the choice of using color so selectively is really the best. This piece no joke is one in a million.
