Eloïse Girard (@girard_eloise) is my pick for today’s talent!

Eloïse is an illustrator based in Lyon, France, she paints and creates lots of characters (not only humans!) with a big variety in subjects, styles and mediums. I usually don’t do this but this time I’m going to talk about a series of posts on her IG profile which I’m not including in this post hoping to raise some curiosity in you (sharing one without the others would be wrong, and they’re too many to fit them here).
She combined zodiac with mermaids following a prompt list for 12 beautiful illustrations that share a common theme in the background and are simply amazing. I absolutely love them all and I like the shining zodiac signs she included. I highly recommend taking a look at those, they’re worth your time!
In the first pic there’s the cutest dog ever!! Look at the eyes turned top to follow its significant human, so lovely, she’s also beautiful obviously and I particularly like the style she used for this illustration. The detail of the leaves getting me into autumn mood is great and it matches perfectly with the girl’s hair and the whole palette in general. Very nice!
The second image is a wonderful illustration starting from a reference picture (on her IG you can see the real girl) and I have to say I’m impressed by some of the strangest details I initially thought were cool things she liked to adapt to her own style (cause they’re a bit strange and unexpected) only to realize they are exactly like that in the photo! The hair, their color, the freckles, the eyelashes… it’s all there! Perfect illustration.
