David DePasquale (@davidadepasquale) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
David is a character designer from New Jersey and works in the animation industry (big names like Netflix, Disney, Dreamworks and so on..). He is capable of drawing with different styles, always showing expertise and a great sense of how to represent a character to convey a specific emotion.
I really like all the animals he posts but in particular I love the tiger he uses to represent himself with, it’s so cute! Sometimes you realize how a small gesture and a pair of pants are enough to make a person out of a pet, love it!
The first image is a Samurai Shiba! Look at the details he put on this drawing to turn a lovely cub into a fierce general: the armor, the sword, the look on its face plus the scary teeth, and last but not least the fact that it’s standing on a rock for a high view. Really makes me think this dog is a commander and knows his stuff.
In the other two images you see David, the tiger I told you about. As I said he is very good at giving you feelings and emotions through his art, come on the travels with his (bear) partner must be so full of Joy and Love, they’re still on the road riding a motorbike and they’re already having a blast!
What do you think about David? Do you also love what’s going on here?
