Asmahan is an artist who focuses on portraits using different medium and styles and always knowing how to capture the slightest emotions and expressions of the face. I really love the mixture of styles you can find on the IG profile cause I think it shows the skills of the artist, and you know the knowledge is out of this world if the results are always this beautiful no matter the way they were done.
I know for a fact it takes time to get confident with a medium to be able to be satisfied with your own art, practice makes perfect cause after a while you build some tricks and routines that help you along the way. This is the main reason why I’m so impressed by the shifts of Asmahan showing high expertise.
The first image is a couple of scenes from “The Queens Gambit”. A very very expressive artwork especially on the bottom half where Beth’s face is painted exactly like the one of the actress. She has some kind of a “special look” I can’t quite explain but I’m lucky cause the illustration is speaking out loud on its own, I’m captured by her eyes, beautiful piece!
The second image is a collection of pencil portraits for the popular “faceyourart” challenge on IG. I find the three women on the bottom to be soooo good. Different looks, from different years it looks like, but awesome and very well drawn. The face and the pose of Sofia Loren, famous Italian actress in the 60s is just fantastic.
