Amita (@artscapes_by_amita) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
Amita is a freelance illustrator capable of creating different subjects through various medias and styles.
I got to know her from some of the beautiful fruit and food paintings she makes but I enjoy her ability to create a series of artworks and then completely change the line and the style.
She went from people/portraits to food to tea pots and who knows what’s coming up next (mixing some digital illustrations lately too)!
The three-dimensionality of the tea cup achieved with different values of the color is stunning and the geometric pattern included is rhythmic and mesmerizing.
The recipe looks on a chalkboard, an effect she achieved mixing real watercolor ingredients and digital painting. I also like the composition, very well done!
The use of gouache on black paper in the end with a South African flower representing “change and hope” in local culture is the icing on the cake, showing exactly how she can create art in different ways.
What do you think about Amita? Do you also love what’s going on here?
