Adrianne Walujo (@adriannewalujo.o) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
Adrianne is a motion designer and illustrator from Melbourne, I felt she belongs here because I love her 2D portraits and the way she picks a limited color palette.
Her characters always tell a story through minimal lines and expressive faces, sometimes a little detail or an object can give the starting point to imagine the background of the subject.
The main focus on her works are women, often bringing with them lots of cultural diversity!
I really love how she’s able to draw the hair with just a couple of lines, there’s the idea of the volume and the movement represented with such ease. Her habit to color just the clothes and some accessories is very nice, I think it gives you the freedom to build the character in your mind however you want it to be.
Speaking of which, look at Mary in the last image (not a digital piece this time around): I like to think she’s the little sister to Bella and she’s the precise one of the two sisters. Bella sounds more like a party girl! Feels like I could keep going all day 😉
What do you think about Adrianne? Do you also love what’s going on here?
I’d like to discuss today’s talent with you in the comments below!
