Adam is an artist from Australia with a huuuge experience, he started working at the age of 15 for Disney (one of the youngest ever) and his career from that point on has been just stellar, Lucasfilm, Dreamworks, Netflix among others.. If I think about my childhood and all the classic movies I watched like Aladdin, The Lion King, Bambi, The Little Mermaid and then I imagine he was part of all of them it’s just incredible.
He shares Welly’s Wonders with his wife (the link is below!), a business that relies on original work and art from both of them to produce children’s books, custom portraits, prints and more.. They do it all by themselves and the quality of thier work is not even a point of discussion, you’re in for the best of the best. Honestly I can only admire all the milestones he achieved and he inspires me to get things done!
The first pic is Mebh from Wolfwalkers and if you haven’t seen it yet I mean.. What are you doing? Hands down one of the most beautiful and impressive works of the last few years, there’s so much art in it.. every scene is spectacularly illustrated. I promised myself I’ll rewatch it just to look at the illustrations. Adam’s portrait here is so lovely cause he really got the wild spirit of the character and her funny and strange habits, watching at the girl brings me joy. On IG you can even swipe to see Robyn, the other protagonist, another wonderful piece.
The second image is Ahsoka from The Mandalorian, she’s holding Grogu. That little green baby Yoda kinda thing is soooo cute Adam gave him the same look Lapis (my cat) has. I can’t imagine someone not loving them just by looking at their eyes. I also like the way he gave the Jedi an “elderly” and experienced face, it shows her knowledge.
