Roy Trinh (@roytheart_) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
Roy is an illustrator from Melbourne, he really is a master of character creation and there’s something unique I want to talk about. So in his IG profile you will find characters of all kinds (but mostly females) grouped by subthemes which is something that makes the feed super cool. Basically there’s the tv show stars, the mermaids, the warriors, the sailors, the greek gods… an so on.
The final effect is that you get to enjoy a style and a few palettes for each of the subthemes and then everything switches to a complete new look with new effects and really a different feeling. I enjoy the profile a lot!
Athena, the goddess of war is the first one of this series (the most recent subtheme on his profile at the time I’m writing this) and I’ve got to say I love the blurry effect he’s using in this style for the borders. The hair are absolutely fantastic both for the tone and for how he made them look soft and fluffy.
Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love is the second picture and the doves flying around her are such a great touch in my opinion. I also love the roses so much and I think the golden reflections here and there make this whole piece look precious and worthy of a divinity.
What do you think about Roy? Do you also love what’s going on here?
I’d like to discuss today’s talent with you in the comments below!
