Jiří Zralý (@zraly) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
Jiří is a multi-talented artist as he paints with watercolors, oil, he paints digitally and he also makes sketches. I don’t know how that’s possible it really looks like everything he does turns out to be amazing in the end, so props to him! I’ve got words to spend for every post I get to see on his IG profile.
The majority of his artworks are portraits in which I feel there’s a decent number of both male and female figures (I’ve noticed many times artists tend to prefer one, but he does both quite often and very well). It’s nice to compare the results when a different medium was used and see how the change in style can shift the focus from an element to another one.
This first image of his digital photo study is gorgeous, he represented the woman with beautiful proportions, the colors are amazing and I absolutely love the blurry style it makes it look so real. There’s also a super work on lights and shadows in this one, not only behind her… look at the neck, the chin, or at her right eye, it’s just beautiful!
The second picture is here to show a completely different kind of art. The lines are simple it seems a quick sketch yet it’s so powerful! Shadows are great, I like the people on the bridge and the little windows in the background. Water required just a couple strokes, but that’s enough to “move” the river. I appreciate the sketch, I think it’s very cool.
What do you think about Jiří? Do you also love what’s going on here?
