Uma is an engineer and an artist from California who loves to paint with a variety of media about anything she enjoys. I admire her ability to mix things up and the huge diversity you can find on her profile.
If you like digital painting there’s a super good section on her website (link below) on how to start, it’s a support page for her book “Drawing with a Tablet” full of links, videos, and images. Check it out!
The watercolor piece was painted live on IG, I especially like the expressive and decisive brush strokes she used for the crowd of people and the buildings. A nice touch was the inclusion of those diagonal thin lines for the cables breaking the scene and making it dynamic.
The gouache mini squares are just amazing! So colorful.. zoom in the pic to view them all (24!!) and look at all the different landscapes she was able to put together.
