Renee Walden (@reneewaldenart) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
Renee living in New Zealand and traveling the world is an artist who loves sketching and painting outside.
Plenty of landscapes can be found on her profile alongside urban sketching, illustrations and plenair painting (she says she always carries a sketchbook and watercolors with her, I wish I could do that too!)
The boats she painted (pen and watercolor) come from a photo she took 10 years earlier in Patagonia. Wow! She put on paper a memory and it looks fantastic. The wooden hull is exceptional.
She likes to make a bold use of colors and textures and just like the boat the last two examples here show it nicely. I think she captured the little details so beautifully, the paintings are realistic and I love the splatters! (If you know me a bit you also know I love to splatter on my paintings)
What do you think about Renee? Do you also love what’s going on here?
I’d like to discuss today’s talent with you in the comments below!
